Background images - mobile game

Tangent!

Here are some background assets I made for a mobile game. It's a 2D side-scrolling match, with parallaxing elements such as houses, a dock, trees, etc. Its general style is based off Princess and the Frog, however it is lightly detailed so as to not distract the player, but still fill the world with believable parts.

Rare quiet

I took more pictures of this winterscape, but they're quite similar. I will, however, upload some of the river images as they are gorgeous.

A coyote left those footprints in the snow. I initially thought the tracks belonged to someone's dogs, but a lack of human footprints said otherwise. After following the path of paw prints, I spotted more; this particular individual met up with two or three others, then headed over a stream and into the next forest.

The tracks were so fresh I'd hoped to spot one of the coyotes, but alas.

Plus this, from a different walk with my sister. Treempoline!

The rain and scent of newts

Barely alive, currently. But eh.

Decided to to a quick photo study (quick as in 1- or 2-ish minutes, I believe), with less emphasis on the accuracy, and much more focus on what makes a scene look like a scene. Lately I'm haunted by the color usage of my favorite artists; by how they can summarize an entire object in a basic shape + color placement. After all, I'm extremely lazy, so I'm always on the lookout for simplicity in both design and execution.

Humans are fickle creatures, so easily swayed from reality.

Brb, dreaming about dog-driven modern vehicle chariot races, apparently. *shrug*

May the following be with you,
