12-hour Comic in a Day

For this year's comic, I partnered with Nickel Plate Arts in Noblesville, IN. Since I couldn't be over 1,000 miles away, I livestreamed the process over Twitch. Here is the result. Enjoy~

Ruins - What Wonders May Lie

Results from a recent livestream; a 2-page spread work in progress, and some "Author's" sketches of the various ruins.

I decided on an architectural theme - asymmetrical with large, gaping windows and openings. There's a very specific reason for these features, which will be clarified as the story unfolds.

Stay tuned,

GenCon 2016

Yes, once again I am attending GenCon this year! I'll be scouring the exhibition hall, playing games, and looking for work. So, if you want my kind of crazy in your game, keep an eye out for the kid with the leaves in her hat.

My portfolio includes plenty of Pathfinder illustrations made in the past year. If you're a fan of the tabletop RPG, I'm planning on having an artist booth for next year's convention (in 2017). By then, there will be so much art your head will spin.

Happy gaming!

Carpailios - process stages

Mind, teeth, and now hands. Here's my next 'personal' demon.

I asked Joe Stachnik for input on this illustration. Changed the hands on the lower jaw to be more tense, added more webbing, and clarified the fist around its 'eye.'

Say hello to Carpailios - the Demon of Motive and Intent. No matter the hand you are dealt in life, your own hands can always gesture, create, and destroy: sometimes in ways you never thought imaginable. In that vein, this demon is always shifting and churning, its expression written in the tension of its hands.

"The Scar" - What Wonders May Lie

Our protagonists land in the 'safest' region of the planet- "The Scar"- a lifeless wasteland torn open by solar flares. This sun consistently throws off huge coronal mass ejections which can be seen clearly from dusk to dawn. If it wasn't for this planet's powerful electromagnetic field, no one would be able to withstand the radiation.

It's here that the story begins. Things go haywire from then on..
